WHAT TO DO BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER EYELASH EXTENSION TREATMENT

Welcome to this new blog article!

Today we’ll talk about the pre-and post-eyelash extension treatment.

You need to follow some steps (that I will list shortly) before making eyelash extensions and especially after treatment, to prevent a reduction of duration and to avoid any damage.

Let’s not go too far! Let’s go to practice!

WHAT TO DO BEFORE THE EYELASH EXTENSION TREATMENT

1. You’d better come to the salon 5 minutes before the treatment starts;

2. If you are allergic to some products or have never got extensions you can request your patch test 24-48 hours before your appointment;

3. Warn, at least 24-48h before treatment, if either accidentally or due to an unexpected event, you will not be able to attend the appointment;

4. If you are on castor oil or other treatment, stop 2 days before the appointment;

5. It is preferable you have removed makeup from your face before getting to the salon so that you can immediately proceed to the treatment.

DURING EYELASH EXTENSION TREATMENT

1. Avoid talking during the entire treatment, so as not to distract the Lash Artist, but most importantly because eyes may open and the fumes of the glue could penetrate inside by reddening them for a few days;

2. If you feel any discomfort during treatment always tell your Lash Artist;

3. Put your phone on silent mode to enjoy the treatment in total relaxation;

4. Use this time to rest (it is the time you give to yourself.);

5. If you want, bring your headphones to hear your favorite music (or audiobook).

AFTER EYELASH EXTENSION TREATMENT

1. After having eyelash extensions done, direct contact with water (sauna, pool) or any other treatment with moisture or heat source is not recommended for at least 12 hours;

2. After 12 hours post-treatments you can continue your life normally;

3. You can safely use contact lenses;

4. You can use your daily cream as an eye contour but avoid contact with eyelashes;

5. Rinse with fresh water after bathing in the sea or pool;

6. Do not use the eyelash curler and do not have lamination;

7. Do not rub the extensions. Try not to sleep with your face against the pillow;

8. Avoid contact with any liquid containing acid or oil.
